MoMA × Oreo

A limited-edition collaboration that transforms modern art into a playful, edible experience.

ABOUT US:

Branding/ Packaging / Advertising / Campaign

“Dipped in Culture” is a limited-edition collaboration between MoMA, an international authority in modern art and design, and Oreo, one of the world’s most playful and beloved snack brands. By merging MoMA’s signature red, yellow, and blue palette with Oreo’s iconic cookie form, the project reimagines the cookie as a curated, edible expression of modern design. This partnership bridges high culture and everyday life, transforming contemporary art into a fun, approachable, and tangible experience that invites everyone to engage with creativity in a new and unexpected way.

CHALLENGE:

The challenge was to merge MoMA’s refined design language with Oreo’s playful, mass-market identity without weakening either brand. The project needed to make modern art feel approachable and enjoyable by translating MoMA’s visual system into a format anyone could engage with in a simple, everyday moment.

GOAL:

The goal is to bring modern art into daily life by turning the Oreo cookie into a vibrant, color-driven expression of MoMA’s identity. This project aims to make art more accessible, spark curiosity, and create a cultural crossover that invites people of all ages to engage with creativity in a fun and memorable way.

The success of this design is measured by its cultural impact. This final visual validates the core goal demonstrating how the design successfully transformed an exclusive art concept into a moment of genuine, accessible joy, fostering meaningful connection and broad appeal across demographics.

This project explores an imagined collaboration between MoMA and Oreo, drawing inspiration from cultural crossovers like Loewe × Studio Ghibli, McDonald’s Monopoly, and Airbnb x Lego.
